A select listing of major projects and accomplishments from throughout my career.
containerized a llama.cpp deployment capable of running LLMs in a cpu and hybrid gpu environment with multiple applications and use cases.
custom installation of mautic marketing open source software with tweaks for importing massive amounts of leads, integrated with Amazon SES capable of sending email campaigns to hundreds of thousands of email addresses.
developed a custom ESET API integration plugin allowing customers and site visitors to purchase subscriptions to ESET security products and manage their subscriptions through a customer panel
prepared to transition to a custom deployment of orocommerce to replace expensive and limiting subscriptions such as zoho.
I transitioned from a Solutions Architect responsible for deploying internal applications, configuring our server platform, and supporting customer accounts to a CTO role responsible for developing core platforms and business services
Planned a multi-beverage craft distillery, brewery, and cidery intended for Benton, AR. I never found the right investor(s) but accomplished a lot of planning and brand IP. listed are some of the highlights
Worked with Legislators to clarify some ambiguity in the Arkansas Native Brandy Permit wording in Arkansas Law. This gives producers more flexibility in choosing which permit to go with.
Production of Alcoholic spirits and beverages is one of the most complicated regulatory industries. I was able to navigate and plan for all aspects except the necessary financial support and the venture was left unfunded.
Develop out a product line from concept to fruition. Handled all phases from hardware configurations, software config, testing, establishing variations, and handling corporate partnerships from software, hardware, and 3rd party complimentary tools.
Both while with Quintergy, then again on my own I negotiated every oem software and hardware contract from VMWare for virtualization, to host OS’s like Microsoft. I also negotiated all 3rd party tools we were to incorporate into the product ecosystem, such as backup software and disk monitoring.
We had to analyze hardware from vendors like Dell, Supermicro, HP, and moved to server direct solutions like intel server systems. We even reviewed systems from lesser known vendors like Quanta(now QTC) and custom pc builders and integrators. I worked directly with hardware raid card driver developers to fix bugs and work around issues, and toured the Supermicro campus and build facility.
Tech venture centered around pre-configured hardware and SAN software loaded on a virtual machine for a hyper-converged solutions. First with Quintergy and Starwind Software, then with kernsafe. Ultimately I was unable to find the cause of a performance bottleneck with kernsafe software and lacking a good alternative at the time I shut the business down.
These clients offer good examples of former and some continued projects showcasing important skills and proficiencies
various web design projects, virtualization & cloud architecture design, docker & kubernetes, VPN & network support for up-link and their clients.
Deployed 3CX VoIP systems, network and server infrastructure, Windows Server/Hyper-V, and SonicWall security appliances with ongoing support
Installation & Deployment of poe video surveilance, mesh wifi, and 3cx voip.
developed a secure Ajax client portal for downloading available lab results using Extjs
I partnered with the owner of Quintergy to bring SANpliance to market as well as become a solutions engineer for the company. I was a sales engineer for all highly technical network, voip, and pc/server infrastructure sold to clients over a 3 year period.
I became HP AIS Certified with my extensive networking background prior to joining Quintergy. This allowed us to become HPE Partners and offer customers HP hardware solutions.
Quintergy was a 3CX Partner. I helped sell and deploy massive 3CX VOIP rollouts in Arkansas and Mississippi.
From Servers to PCs, Network Switches, printers, and UPS systems, we deployed a lot of equipment during this time period.
VMWare deployment with a hyperconverged software SAN. this project was the alpha version of what would become SANpliance
Deployment of a 10G network over fiber backbone, along with 10G server connections to the virtualization servers.
developed several applications from a trip mileage application for calculating tr1 mileage for business trips, managed audit workpaper uploads, complete management of public facing website with a custom app for scheduling the release of audit reports, and a bank confirmations application
Our division was responsible for auditing the Medicaid database for fraud. I devised a way to prepare and convert the massive Medicaid data for import into MS SQL with SSIS.
I was able to apply my skills to expand Audit’s network capabilities, streamline deployment of tomcat with JavaEE, negotiate state of the art hardware with encryption and raid mirrored hard drives inside deployed laptops, and began to train in development where I deployed several ajax applications enhancing usability and automation.
Through my 7 years with the district I completely revamped the district’s IT infrastructure, preparing it for cutting edge services, applications, and equipment. I served under Bonnie Eans, District Technology Director. Together we moved IT out of an elementary school into an IT office, where it is still located today only more expanded. The district’s network grew to over 3000 endpoint devices by the time I left. This job laid the groundwork for my extensive IT knowledge base and long career.
Embraced linux for multiple purposes inside the district, including the SAMBA file server, Apache web, and Qmail email system for self-hosting staff email and domain accounts. Presented at many technology show sessions about software and methods used.
Managed several of the district’s web resources.
Deployed new network switches everywhere on the district’s fiber backbone upgrading all switches to 1G, and a 10G server switch.Installed a 3Com Voip phone system.
Bonnie and I worked to establish an intern based student training program in collaboration with the High School Cisco training course. This proved very effective.
